Opal Eyes Theatre Productions are recruiting performers for a live puppet show as part of the Adelaide Festival’s Adelaide Symphony Orchestra’s “Floods of Fire” event. Opal Eyes Theatre Productions (a collective of artists living in Andamooka, Woomera and Roxby Downs) has been commissioned by the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra to create a 7-minute performative sequence as part of their event in March. “Floods of Fire” was created by the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra and curated by international artist Airan Berg.
Calling All Puppet Masters! Bring characters to Life in “A Flood Fable”! Opal Eyes Theatre Productions seeks talented puppet performers to join our exciting “A Flood Fable” production.
Are you:
• An experienced performer with a passion for bringing characters to life?
• Adept at manipulating puppet styles (rod, hand, etc.)?
Note: This is optional for a successful application.
• Comfortable working collaboratively in a fun and creative environment?
We offer:
• Paid opportunity: $850 per person (excluding GST) for the engagement.
• Travel and accommodation: Covered for travel from Roxby Downs and/or Andamooka to Adelaide and back, plus shared accommodation during your stay.
• Per diems: $100 per day for meals and incidentals.
• Rehearsal and workshop: Join us for intensive training and collaboration on Saturday and Sunday, February 17th and 18th.
• Performance fee: $350 for your Saturday, March 16th performance.
• Be part of a meaningful project: “A Flood Fable” explores resilience and environmental awareness themes.
