The Andamooka Observatory is currently collaborating with BHP, Inspiring SA, and the Woomera Observatory to search for new Extremophiles in the region: Tardigrade, Archaea, microbial communities, fossilised extremophile/fossil microbe / pre-historic formations/cyanobacteria, and stromatolite. We are using the Saxon GSM 10x-80x Gemological Microscope, Saxon RST Researcher Stereo Microscope, and a Saxon 7.5″ LED Desktop Lamp Magnifier in the field.
