The SA Arid Lands Kingoonya Landscape Group recently came together for a productive board meeting at the Schoolhouse Café in Kingoonya. This dedicated group brings together representatives from the Kokatha Aboriginal Corporation, Arid Recovery, SA Arid Lands Landscape Board, and BHP South Australia to guide environmental and land management efforts across the region.

The Kingoonya Landscape Group plays a vital role in ensuring local voices are heard in the development and delivery of the Strategic Plan for the region. Through ongoing collaboration, the group helps strengthen community capacity to care for Country by promoting sustainable land use, growing skills, and supporting local networks.

Regular meetings are held throughout the region, reflecting the group’s commitment to staying grounded in the places and communities they serve.

We’re proud to share that Leila chairs the Kingoonya Landscape Group, with Conan serving as a board member.

Special thanks to the Kingoonya Hotel and the Schoolhouse Café for keeping us fuelled with excellent coffee, burgers, and snacks!
