We attended the  ‘Neville Bonney Roadshow’, bush food and native plant workshop Friday 6th May 2022, with South Australian native plant expert, ethnobotanist, and published author Neville Bonney. His most recent book was published in 2013 and focused on Australia’s native peach, the quandong. Bonney is an advocate for the commercialisation of useful indigenous flora, including wattleseed, and has promoted the production and development of markets for bush foods in Australia and beyond. The Native Plant & Bush Tucker Workshop was held at the Andamooka Community Hall and was supported by the SA Arid Lands Landscape Board, the SA Arid Lands Kingoonya Landscape Group and the Andamooka Observatory. The Andamooka Observatory’s Leila Day is the Chair of the SA Arid Lands Kingoonya Landscape Group.
