Recently we hosted the BHP Olympic Dam Leadership Team at Andamooka Observatory visiting ‘Karkaroo’ the Andamooka Plesiosaur at the Andamooka Opal Showroom Underground Opal & Mineral Museum, our German Gully opal mine, One Tree Hill and a visit to Cal the Stoner’s Stonemasonry Studio to see the ‘Andamooka Tiger’. The BHP Team enjoyed a fine delicious feast catered by the Dine-A-Mite Cafe at the marvelous ‘Dukes’. We had clear skies and saw the alignment of Venus, Saturn and Jupiter joined by the beautiful crescent moon.
In May BHP Olympic Dam Asset President Dr Jennifer Purdie came over to Andamooka for a Opal Mining 101 tour.
