We’re an off grid bookshop in the Andamooka Opal Fields. We’re selling books to build an Observatory. Our interests are astronomy, astrophotography, cultural and nocturnal tours. We’re often around after sundown and a bit after. Come and enjoy the outback stars unobstructed by any light pollution. We’ve often got the scopes out and run hands on workshops such as how to do astrophotography on your phone. Keep an eye on our BLOG for news of astronomical events and new books in for sale on a great range topics covering Australiana, outback living, Aboriginal culture and tucker, survival and off grid living. There’s plenty more including books for the kids and pop culture classics!

Currently featuring works by Alex Mendelssohn (30 May 1935 – 10 December 2017), mosaic artist Trish Curnow and acrylics by Leila Day.
