In June 2023, we welcomed Jessica Braithwaite and the 9 News Adelaide crew to the Andamooka Observatory for filming our day and night tours. The team joined us at One Tree Hill, capturing the unique experience of opal noodling on the mullock heaps before setting up for an unforgettable night of stargazing under Andamooka’s vast outback skies.
During their visit, Leila and Conan were interviewed about life in Andamooka, the Observatory’s role in showcasing the opal fields, and the magic of combining astronomy, geology, and art.
