We were thrilled to welcome Paul Sedawie of Seda Opals to the Andamooka Observatory. As the former President of the Opal Association of Australia and a generous supporter of the Australian Opal Centre in Lightning Ridge, Paul has long been a champion for the opal industry. His passion for protecting and promoting Australian opal is truly inspiring, and it was a privilege to have him spend time with us here in Andamooka.

Adding to the excitement, we were also joined by Ray and Diane Wood—opal miners from the legendary Virgin Valley Opal Fields in Nevada, USA, and shareholders of the world-famous Bonanza Opal Mine. Their stories, insights, and shared love of opal made for a memorable exchange between two great opal regions of the world.
