Training Day with the Air Force Test Ranges Squadron (AFTRSQN), at RAAF Woomera Range Complex (WRC), a global hub for testing military equipment, weapons, and aerospace technology.

As part of preparations for ongoing operations at the Andamooka Airfield, the AOFTA team completed hands-on aviation and airport safety training delivered by the Air Force Test Ranges Squadron (AFTRSQN). The program included:

  • Foreign Object Debris (FOD) walks.

  • Airside driving procedures

  • ATC communications

  • Airport safety and security checks

A big thank you to 20SQN, AFTRSQN, and Defence Australia for delivering a tip-top, practical training package that directly supports safe operations at the Andamooka Airfield.
